Some of the Best Lego Designs Ever Created by Fans

A few years back, Lego began offering a set called Lego Ideas that allowed users to submit ideas for new sets. The top ones are then put through rigorous processes to turn them into official releases. The new designs allow fans to design stunningly detailed models that aren’t in other sets. It was through this process that the fantastic Voltron set was created. The set lets you build the five lions mechanically and then – with some reassembling join them to create the legendary Voltron.

Other fan-created sets include this tribute to Japan’s most famous mountain. The set is huge in size and is packed with lots of unique details that you won’t find in any other sets. It’s also an excellent way to show off your love for Japan.

This tribute to Star Wars is another impressive creation. The set comes with all the iconic weapons from the franchise as well as a lot more that you would not normally see in the form of a set. It’s the best set we’ve seen in a long time.

Since a long time professional Lego artists have been creating impressive Lego creations. Mariann Nathan is one of these artists, who has their website worked as a Lego designer freelance for several years. Her portfolio contains everything from replicas and models of landmarks to a ladybug that is four feet tall and the life-size Pirate.

Another important Lego artist is David Hughes, who recreates famous works of art in brick form. He has a sculpture of Afternoon of a Faun on sale, but be warned that it’s not cheap.
