In the powder grinding process, the materials in the grinding mill will produce large amount of heat. If the temperature of the materials that are fed into the cement ball mill is too high, the temperature of the materials that are ground will be even higher. What damages will the higher temperature bring?
As a saying goes, when the well is full, it will run over. When the temperature of the materials that are fed into the cement ball mill is too high, it will bring about huge damage to the working effects and the mechanical equipment. Then what we need to do is to try our best to prevent such damages and minimize the damages from the source.
(1) When the internal temperature of the cement ball mill reaches 120℃, the plaster stone, that is CaSO4 2H2O will dehydrates and forms 2CaSO4H2O or completely dehydrates to become anhydrous gypsum, and the cement will harden rapidly or fake which will influence the quality of the cement.
(2) There will be coalescence phenomenon in the grinding mill. The fine powders will stick on the surface of the grinding object and the lining board which will reduce the powder grinding efficiency and increase the electricity consumption. Generally speaking, when the temperature of the materials fed into the grinding mill exceeds 80℃, the production capacity of the cement ball mill will reduced by 10%-15%. For this reason, many plants pour water on the surface of the cement ball mill in order to reduce the temperature.
(3) When the internal temperature of the cement ball mill is high, it will be harmful to the mechanical machine. If the temperature of the cylinder and the bearing and other spare parts is too high, it will influence the safe operation of the machine for a long period of time, the lubrication effect will be reduced which will cause difficult in maintenance. For this reason, it would be the best for the temperature of the materials that are sent in to the grinding mill not to exceed 50℃.
